Our circus class offer instructions in a variety of circus disciplines including:

Aerial Silks

Silks is a type of performance in which one or more people can perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a fabric. The fabric may be hung as two pieces, or a single piece or folded to make a loop. The silk fabric is used to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral the person’s body into and out of different tricks and poses.

The aerial hoop is a type of performance also known as the lyra that is done on a circular steel ring suspended from the ceiling, on which people can perform aerial acrobatics, by positioning their bodies into different tricks and poses.

We’ll focus on the building blocks of acrobatics: cartwheels, rolls, walkovers, introducing more advanced skills as students are ready. We’ll also work on partnering and handstand related skills to build versatility.

We’ll work on learning a variety of shapes and transitions, as well as safe spotting techniques and experimentation.
